Last week, Tuesday to be precise, during my evening jog, I decided to extend a minimum the current pathetic mileage up to touch the 7 km.
To do this is to avoid the boredom of doing forward and backward on the bicycle path, is to risk the skin on the road, I decided to turn down the dirt road that bears the sign "Saint Sophia 5.9 km ring." A little over a second
avnti sign indicates a very narrow dirt road down which runs for some distance parallel to a canal. At the end of the descent, a third sign bit loosely in the middle of an intersection leaving the keeper wrong-footed on the way to go.
I decide to go right, mostly because the road is more inviting, but after a few hundred yards I have to stop: they are on the river bank, in a corner really nice features a meadow under the trees with views of Ticino flowing. On the left seems to be a social club for senior citizens, a right to private property.
Behind the front, back to the fork and take the second road which goes straight through the fields. Another point: the road to the left seems to return to civilization behind the farm santa sofia ... but this ring can not be mentioned in the cartel, are certainly not 6 km!
then goes straight into a beautiful green tunnel along which meet some hares.
Supplem an abandoned military area (but that makes us here?) And go on a bit more '... but now the budget has been spent km and the legs start to complain, then I reach a tree across the path through the forest and return back to see if the rabbits are still there waiting for me.
Back to the last turn, carried out in the direction of the farm Santa Sofia, I face a short but steep climb with the last remaining forces and thread at home.
Bel around, nice people, nice atmosphere ... but where the hell is' I ring?
